There's usually one night during the Advent season when I crank the Christmas music, pour myself a glass of eggnog (man, I love that stuff) and wrap all our presents. Truly, one of my top 5 favorite nights of the year.
This year, Anna-Laura and I enjoyed a wrapping and bow demonstration at The Container Store - you know, the place where I feel like the mothership has come home! They had some great suggestions and it brought back some fantastic memories of my Granny Mary showing me how to wrap a package. She and my grandfather owned a jewelry store in West Texas. She wrapped many a package and shared some of her secrets and best tips with us, as kids. Of course, I'm kicking myself now for not paying better attention :(
I had such a great time making everything look pretty. May the gift recipients know just how much they are loved and appreciated!
